FloridaCommerce will host a series of community workshops to gather input from Floridians about their unmet disaster recovery needs from the 2023 and 2024 storms. The workshop will take place on Monday, March 3 in Room 119 of the Charlotte County Administration Center, 18500 Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual workshop will be held on Friday, March 7.

The Charlotte County Commission has imposed a ban on all outdoor burning, including the use and discharge of fireworks and sparklers, due to ongoing drought conditions and increased fire risk.
